We are so excited! We have been shortlisted as a My Community Project. Now it’s your turn to vote for us so we can receive the funding! 🙂
Your Manly Food Co-Op has applied for $24k in the liveable communities category (to “improve the local amenity and environment”) for the ‘My Community Project’ grant.
Project title: ‘Manly Food Co-Op Equipment and Signage’.
This funding will enable us to improve signage (window, walls and A-frames), purchase additional storage containers and improved dispensing units, another set of scales, and we are looking into a kegarator, so we can provide kombucha on tap again.
Why vote for us?
We’ve been fighting the War on Waste since 1997 by offering zero waste and organic alternatives to the modern supermarket!
We’re owned and operated by you, our community, and we rely on our volunteers to stay afloat.
As a Co-Operative, it is hard to raise capital, and this grant will help us be the best we can.
How to vote
Voting opens Monday July 15 and closes 15 August.
You will need to choose between three and five projects in your preferred order. Please put us at Number 1!
Projects with the highest number of points in each NSW electorate will be funded.
You need to be aged 16 years or over and have a valid Medicare card (to ensure each person only votes once).
You can only vote for projects in your NSW state electorate – you’ll need to provide a NSW residential address to confirm your NSW state electorate.
To vote, log in to My Service NSW – if you do not have an account, sign up on the Service NSW website, call 13 77 88 or visit your nearest Service NSW Centre. You can find information on creating a My Service NSW Account at service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/sign-myservicensw-account
