The mornings are cold, and you just might not feel like bundling up to go out to your favourite café for your morning coffee.  Well, your Co-op can help!  Why not brew your own with our organic Soprano coffee?  We stock Espresso, Beans and Plunger, and you can enjoy your cup in the comfort of your nice warm kitchen!

Soprano is a Northern Beaches company which was founded in 1998.  Starting with an 8 kg roaster, Soprano has now progressed to a 180kg/hr fully automated Deidrich coffee roaster.

Master roaster Craig has developed a range of blends which supplies to customers all over Australia, including the Co-op. Soprano has won multiple awards across their entire range of products.

The beans in the Co-op blends come from Colombia, Honduras, PNG and Nicaragua.  All beans are certified both organic and fair trade.

The beans arrive at the Soprano roasting headquarters in hessian sacks, which are given away for free for people to use in their gardens or other purposes.  During the roasting the chaff (or husks) which come off of the beans are also donated to the general public for garden compost.

At the Co-op, we receive our beans in reusable containers, which go back to Soprano for refilling when empty. Since we receive fresh coffee beans and ground coffee once a week, this arrangement eliminates a huge quantity of packaging and is an example of a true circular economy.

Craig describes his coffee as full bodied with hints of cocoa, nutty and fruity flavours.  Why not try some?  Brewing at home is not only cost effective, you can stay warm and cosy as you get yourself ready for the day (or afternoon or evening) ahead!
