Mid Coast Honey Beekeeping

Mid Coast Honey

Mid Coast Honey is a family owned & operated business on the Mid Coast of NSW that produces a natural, pure and unprocessed honey in unique batches. Their most popular honeys are the Ironbark (Iconic Australian Eucalypt Honey) and Tea Tree Mixed Blossom (Flavoursome Coastal Honey).

The beekeeping is done within 200kms and the bees forage in areas free from chemicals or contaminants. Above all, their bees’ health is their number one priority.

Castlecrag Honey Beekeeping

Castlecrag Honey

Castlecrag Honey is an urban and Manuka honey producer with bee hives on the Sydney’s North Shore, the Cumberlain Plain and the Blue Mountains. They organically produce single origin, cold extracted raw honey from Sydney’s bushland and garden environs.

Their vision is to see improved local environments, ecosystems and public health through increasing bee pollinators in the environment. They also want to make available pure raw honey to the public with all its health-giving properties.

Benefits of Raw Honey

Yes honey is delicious but did you know raw honey contains an array of vitamins and minerals and contains flavonoids and phenolic acids that act as antioxidants to help neutralise free-radicals in the body that contribute to cell damage and chronic disease?

Use that honey!

Honey is perfect on a piece of bread for breakfast or snack, to soothe your throat with warm water, added to a meal or to bake with, so versatile and so good for you!

This gorgeous recipe of Oatmeal, Spelt and Honey Scones from the Healthy Chef uses raw honey and wholemeal spelt! And the great thing is that we have all those ingredients at the Manly Food Co-op!
